Tanglewood Solid Top Spruce/Koa Grand Auditorium Cutaway Acoustic/Electric 2011
Tanglewood TVC Koa C made in China in 2011. Tanglewood are very good at making you feel you got a lot in a budget guitar and this is no exception. You get the comfortable auditorium shape with a venetian cutaway, exotic woods with a solid top, classy open gear tuners, and tone that makes you forget you paid sub $1k. It feels solid and well looked after, the frets are in good shape, and the neck has a pretty standard D profile. The rosewood and solid cedar top look great together. Tuning stability is pretty good, even in cold Hobart. The tone is balanced and clear, plenty of resonance and projection. It has a Fishman PreSys on board for gigging. It's tangle-GOOD.
