Gibson Les Paul Standard Gold Top 2013
Gibson Les Paul Standard, Gold Top, made in USA 2013. Few guitars look as good on stage as a Gold Top LP. This sleek beauty dates to 2013, so it's got a few era-specific touches: Kluson-style tuners, generous round neck shape, chambered body, Burstbucker Pro pickups. At 4.2kg, this is reasonably lightweight for the genre, and it has a pleasing balance in the hands. The tone is all LP: fat and smooth on the neck pickup, creamy and barky on the bridge. The BBs are clearer and more open than the 490s previous generations of LP Standard received; they're a balanced and open pickup. The gleaming gold is goregous, it's got it going on.
