Fender Player Plus Telecaster Sunburst 2021
Fender Player Plus Telecaster, sunburst, made in Mexico 2021. This looks understated, but it's had a bunch or clever upgrades under the hood, and it's now a very slick machine. The Player Plus series takes the basic Tele model and adds some locking tuners, fancier electronics and a 12" fretboard radius. This has had a full wiring upgrade: new pickups by Dimarzio, treble bleed volume pot, push/pull control on the tone to switch between series and parallel options, and a nice new jack and switch etc. The neck pickup is a stacked vintage Strat style, so the neck pickup tones are pushed a little in the Strat direction: thick, glassy, clear, smooth. The bridge pickup delivers the crunch and chime, and splitting to parallel instead of a single coil offers a similar snappy chime to a single coil but without the noise and output drop. The neck feels comfy and easy, and it looks slick. It's a sleeper, but dang: good under the hood.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear on the back only. The back has minor dimples near the jack and minor scuffs on the top horn. The sides have minor dimples on the top horn and scuffs in the elbow area. The front has minor scuffs along the back edge and elbow area.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 9/10, minor wear only
