Fender Japan Telecaster TL52-70US U.S. Blonde 2005
Fender '52 Tele, US Blonde, crafted in Japan 2005-6. What a looker! This model gets a bunch of 50s-style appointments: small headstock. spaghetti logo, maple fretboard, V-shape neck, 7.25" radius, ash body, single-ply black guard and the trad three-saddle bridge. This one is finished in US Blonde, which ironically is a Japan-only finish. It's halfway between the old-style semi-transparent Butterscotch Blonde and the lighter Olympic White; it looks fantastic. The neck is chunky: it's a comfy soft V that sits nicely in the hands, and if you like them a bit fat, this one is for you. The tone is all Tele: clear and jangly, warm and bright through the mids and fantastic with a dash of dirt or sparkling clean. It's hard to argue with this one: yep, that will work.
