Cort SJ-3 Jumbo Acoustic Natural 2001
Cort SJ-3, natural gloss, made in Korea 2001. Big, blonde and bold. Cort is the house brand for giants Cor-Tek, who were the biggest guitar manufacturer in the world for a while there, making guitars for all manner of other brands from their South Korea home. This one is a maple and spruce jumbo, referencing the classic Gibson model without borrowing too directly. It's got a bright and chiming sound with a fast low end to balance the shimmering highs. The neck is comfy and it holds tune nicely, so it shouldn't give you much trouble. The finish has yellowed and mellowed a little over the decades, and that quilted maple back... heck. Gotta Cort 'Em All!
