Squier Jagmaster Sonic Blue 1999
Squier Jagmaster, Sonic Blue, made in China 1999. The Jagmaster was a Squier original, debuting in the Japanese-made Vista series in 1997 alongside some other shapes that never bore a Fender badge before. This example comes from the second version, made out of China in 1999, with a longer 25.5" scale neck rather than the Vista's 24". It's a great recipe: the comfy, well balanced offset body is paired with a slim, quick neck, Strat style bridge and a pair of Dragster humbuckers with simple controls. It's fair to say it's a rock and roll guitar: punk, grunge, hardcore or shoegaze stuff is pretty perfect on this. The finish used to be blue, now it's more green, but there's some sticker fade marks to show the aging process in several stages... neat.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has scuffs on the end and dimples on the bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, dimples and scuffs on the back only. The back has scratches near the neck plate and top horn, dents in. the belly carve, back edge and bottom corner, dimples in the elbow area and bottom horn and widespread minor scuffs all over. The sides have minor scuffs all over as well as some dents and small chips in the elbow area, back edge, near the jack and bottom horn, as well as some sticker fade marks. The front has a sticker fade mark behind the bridge, dimples and a dent along the back edge, scuffs in the elbow area, dimples along the top edge and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (6.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 7/10, minor wear only
