The original 'Marshall in a box' pedal, made by... Marshall!? This is awesome, it sounds great The Guv'nor aimed to replicate the sound of a JCM800 stack blasting out at full volume, and honestly it gets it pretty right. There's plenty of gain on tap, but it's the openness and articulation of the crunchy midrange that impresses me most. The three-band EQ is handy too, it means you can get it dialled in right for your particular guitar+amp combo. This one, in a shock twist, even has the original battery cover still attached.
