G&L Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Special Blueburst 2020
G&L Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Special, Blueburst finish, made in USA 2020. G&L was the company founded by Leo Fender and longtime collaborator George Fullerton in the early 1980s. The company was recently acquired and immediately shut down by Fender's parent company, so in a significant bummer for the industry, the brand is no more, and all the guitars are discontinued. This model is basically the quintessential G&L: Leo's last update on the Tele, with a super slick neck, sturdy hardware, and a pair of his very clever Magnetic Field Design single coils. It sounds great: hot and punchy like a P-90, but with an more expansive shimmering top end and a punchy, piano-like super fast bass. It's extraordinarily articulate: every note comes out in wild detail, even when drowning in gain or effects. The high mass bridge, simple tuners and tall frets mean this feels fast and holds tune beautifully, and in a nice bonus it's a bit lighter than other examples we've had through. The blue looks awesome too, it's a very pretty take on the anti-sunburst aesthetic and lets the swamp ash grain do the talking. RIP G&L!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor scuffs on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, very minor rub wear only. The back has minor dimples on the horns and some minor scuffs along the back edge. The sides have very minor scuffs in the elbow area and near the jack. The front has minor dimples on the elbow area and minor play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 strings.
Fret life: 9.5/10, minor wear only
