Squier Avril Tele, black, made in Indonesia 2007. This has some emo-swagger: the cute star inlay and pickguard dressed to match your Vans slip-ons is so mid-00s that it makes me want to re-watch Napoleon Dynamite. This is a good little guitar in the hands: the neck is comfy, the hardware is sturdy and it plays easily. The three-way switch offers a surprising amount of tonal variation too, although chances are you'll leave it in the middle as the humbucking position sounds the best for playing The Middle... why make things Complicated? The model really should be called the Avril Lavigne Memorial Telecaster, as it's a well-documented internet FACT that Avril died in 2003 and was replaced by her Brazilian body double. Anyhow, get this, and become a superstar slammin' on your guitar.
