Fernandes JG-45, pink, made in Taiwan circa 1999. Fernandes are a longstanding giant in the Japanese guitar industry. These JG series models popped up in the late 90s, following the explosion of interest in offset shapes on the back of the grunge, shoegaze and punk movements of the 90s. It's a great recipe: take the classic Jag/JM shape, add a slick shred-friendly neck with a modern radius, a simple and agreeable two point Strat-style tremolo bridge and a pair of splittable humbuckers. All that adds up to a very pragmatic rock machine in the hands: comfy, quick, reliable. The woodwork is very tidy too, it feels like a guitar that's been made with due care and attention. The pickups offer a nice balance of fat juicy lows and mids and snappy, clear highs. Let's be honest: you got this far because of the outrageous, excellent colour: no shame in that, right? It looks fully sick.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the end and some scuffs on the edges. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, just some scuffs, dimples and glossing from play on the back. The back has a decent chip in the bottom corner near the jack and some scuffs along the back edge, elbow area, top horn and around the cavity. The sides have dimples on the top horn, scuffs in the elbow area and some dimples near the jack. The front has some dimples around and behind the bridge, a scratch up from the bridge pickup, scuffs in the elbow area, a fade mark on the guard and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49 strings.
Fret life: 8/10, minor wear only
