Fender AVRI '62 Jaguar, sunburst, made in USA 2007. It's hard to think of a cooler shape than the Jag, and this is a really great take on the classic curves. The American Vintage series ran from 1982-2016, offering period-correct versions of Fender's golden era models, so this gets a whole bunch of 1962-style appointments: Kluson style tuners, big gold logo, rosewood board with dots, tort guard and the classic offset vibrato bride. It's a great combo, and that classic sunburst finish looks very classy under the gloss nitro topcoat. This one has had a tune-o-matic style bridge installed, which combined with a neck shim to get the break angle over the bridge and the action right saves some of the string-slippage and bridge buzz issues often encountered on vintage style Jags. The tone is instantly recognisable: jangly and alive with naturally short sustain on the lead circuit, or dark and round on the rhythm circuit... either way, it's got a certain punchy clarity that deals well with a generous smattering of fuzz or reverb and chorus. There's plenty to enjoy here, and you may as well look good doing it, yeah?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has scuffs on the end and a dimple on the Fender logo, as well as checking lines all over. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has some small dents in the elbow area and bottom corner, dimples near the neck plate, back edge and bottom horn, as well as some scuffs along the belly carve and middle of the body. The sides have minor dimples on both horns and some  scuffs and a couple of dents in the elbow area and near the jack. The front has dimples along the back edge and around the tailpiece and bridge, rub wear in the elbow area and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49 strings.
Fret life: 8/10, minor wear only
