Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster, butterscotch blonde, made in USA 2004. The American Vintage series replicated the original famed models of Fender's golden era instruments with religious fervour, including thin nitro finishes, period correct alnico pickups, cloth wiring as well as cosmetic touches like the spaghetti decals. This example is a glorious reissue of the famed 1952 Telecaster; this model is one of the most historically accurate and highest quality production Teles ever. You get a tasty ash body with some sweet subtle grain on show underneath the super thin butterscotch finish. There's a few marks around the place to remind you to play this instead of hanging it on the wall; but hey, if it were a Custom Shop (and it isn't far off) you'd pay extra for that, right? Plugged in, it's all Tele: thick, full, punchy bass and an eloquent, breathy midrange adding flavour and complexity to a bucket full of classic Tele Twang. The moderate 'U' shape neck is intuitive and well rounded; thick enough to add some chime and sparkle to the tone but thin enough to get around quickly without thinking too hard. There's a reason these haven't changed in seven decades, you will feel it straight away: a Tele this good is the perfect musical companion.

Cosmetic condition notes: Headstock has minor marks on the end, the top and bottom edges as well as some nicks in the decal, no major marks. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and some rub wear on the back only. The back has widespread light scuffs, and some chips on the bottom horn and edge near the jack as well as some dimples in the elbow area. The sides have a few things to note: scuffs on the top horn, a number of small chips and dimples from the top side elbow area and along the back and bottom edges to below the knobs, plus a couple of small chips and scuffs on the bottom horn. The front has a number of scuffs and small chips around the back edge, behind the bridge and in the elbow area, as well as some play wear and dimples on the top horn and guard.

Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 6/10, normal wear inc minor pitting, playing evenly with no major buzz issues
